EZ’s Baby Surprise Jacket: Knit the classic baby cardi using Elizabeth Zimmerman’s fun technique. Gauge: It’s Not A Dirty Word: Your last project came out the entirely wrong size, and you’re not sure why. Learn why gauge and swatching are soooo important and how to read a ball band to discover the “secrets” of yarn substitution. Needle Felting Fun: Have you wanted to try this hot trend in felting? Learn the basics of embellishing by needle felting onto felted items as well as knitted items that have not been felted. 8/9 or 9/11 ($50, roving included, other required materials not included, homework). Crochet 101: We’ve expanded and updated our “Learn to Crochet” class. You’ll even go into some of the techniques in our Crochet 102 class. 8/14, 8/16, 9/2, 9/20 or 9/30 ($45 includes yarn & pattern, choose one). Knitting Around on a Magic Loop: If you’ve wanted to try an alternative to knitting in the round on dpn’s, this method may be for you. Students may bring a pattern to discuss or get started on in class. 8/7 or 9/6 ($25) 2 Circs For Me: Another alternative to dpn’s. Students may bring a pattern to start in class. 8/23, 8/28 or 9/27 ($25)Enticing Entrelac: If you are intrigued by this knitting technique that looks like you’ve woven your knitting, you’ll enjoy making a bag which can be felted, if desired. 9/9 ($55, includes pattern, you bring yarn/needles, some homework). Knitting 102: OK, you’ve learned to knit a garter-stitch scarf—now what?
